About Us
The East Texas Stress Reduction Clinic works with physicians and other health professionals to enhance existing medical services by offering a combination of classes and workshops as well as community resources for the education and experiential understanding of stress decreasing skills and is devoted to increasing mindfulness awareness and education in and around the East Texas area. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction training has a large and growing amount of empirical research data indicating structural neural changes caused by developing a mindfulness practice. There are a multitude of benefits and people from all walks of life, all beliefs who are struggling with a whole list of differing issues that can reap benefits of mindfulness.
Mindfulness training provides a plethora of tools to begin to experientially condition the mind to map the relationships between thoughts, emotions, and sensations in a way that naturally and progressively raises awareness of oneself and the way we perceive and process stress in our lives.
